Support for families, from someone who truly understands them
For nearly three decades, I've walked alongside children, teens, parents, and families through some of life's most challenging seasons.
I'm also a mom.
I raised three children as a single parent, and while there were plenty of wonderful moments, there were also difficult ones that required patience, flexibility, growth, and a willingness to keep learning. Those experiences shaped not only who I am as a parent, but also how I show up as a therapist.
I understand firsthand that family life can be beautiful, exhausting, overwhelming, and deeply meaningful, often all at the same time.
That's why my work is grounded in a simple belief:
Families don't need perfection. They need support, practical tools, stronger connections, and someone to help them find a way forward.
That’s where I come in.
Kids who are struggling with big emotions, anxiety, trauma, behavioral challenges, or executive functioning difficulties.
Teens and young adults balancing academic, athletic, and social pressures while developing confidence, resilience, and a healthy sense of self
Parents who want greater clarity, confidence and effective tools
Families looking to improve communication and reduce conflict
Caregivers who feel overwhelmed, burnt out or unsure what to try next
My approach is warm, collaborative, direct, and solution-focused.
Together, we'll identify what's keeping your family stuck, develop practical strategies, and create meaningful progress that extends beyond the therapy room.

My Experience....
I believe that lasting change happens when we focus on both understanding and action.
I integrate trauma-informed care, family systems thinking, nervous system awareness, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches to help families better understand themselves and develop skills that work in real life.
Just as I encourage families to build a flexible toolbox of strategies, I draw from multiple therapeutic approaches to find what works best for each client and family.
My training includes:
EMDR
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Somatic/Polyvagal Theory- Trauma Informed Yoga

My approach.....
When I'm not working with families, you'll likely find me in the garden, behind a camera, on a pickleball court, reading a good book, hiking a trail, working on a needlepoint project, or enjoying a meal and meaningful conversation with the people I love.
I believe relationships matter, growth is always possible, and even small changes can have a powerful impact over time.

I received my Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Mental Health and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2000.
Over the course of my career, I have worked across a variety of settings supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families.
My professional experience includes:
Owning and operating a private practice focused on children and families
Serving as Director of In-Home Family Services
Serving as Vice President of Youth Behavioral Health for a Missouri community mental health agency
Training, mentoring, and supervising developing clinicians
Teaching college-level coursework focused on behavioral health and family systems
These experiences have given me the opportunity to support families from many different perspectives while remaining grounded in what matters most: helping people create meaningful and lasting change.
